Guido van Dijk is director and owner of LeX. He has worked in education since 1997 and holds a first-degree teaching qualification in computer science, the highest Dutch qualification for the subject.

Career

• 1997. Teacher of computer science and mathematics.
• 2013-2015. One of the founders and developers of Agora Roermond, the first Agora school in the Netherlands (while employed by SOML, a Dutch school board).
• Since 2016. Co-founder of AgileInEducation. Through LeX, work with Leysin American School in Switzerland and Agile Classrooms, among others.
• 2019-2024. Practor in Cloud Engineering at Techniek College Rotterdam, as an assignment for LeX.
• Since 2020. PhD candidate at the Welten Institute of the Open University of the Netherlands, on the Agile Learning Model he originated and wrote.
• 2021. MSc Business Process Management and IT (BPMiT), Open Universiteit. ConceptAtlas grew out of the master’s thesis.

Anyone who hires LeX is entitled to know which other roles the director holds. We set that out here, before anyone asks.

Stichting VO-content. A Dutch foundation that develops open learning materials for secondary education. From April to September 2026 it was a client of LeX, for advice on AI and open learning materials. From 1 October 2026 Guido van Dijk is employed there as lead for Learning, Technology and Research (regisseur Leren, Technologie en Onderzoek), at 0.8 FTE. The advisory assignment has been absorbed into that employment. What LeX made for VO-content belongs to VO-content and we do not present it as our own work. The AI agent guides are LeX’s own production and fall outside it. Because the fields overlap, we hold ourselves to four rules:

Stichting Onderwijs Midden-Limburg (SOML). Guido van Dijk has been employed by SOML, a Dutch school board, since 2010. The Erasmus+ projects he coordinates there are SOML’s work. On this site that is his experience, not a result of LeX.

Limburg AI Netwerk. LeX is a member and board member of the cooperative behind the Limburg AI Netwerk (opens in a new window) (Coöperatie Leernetwerk Limburg U.A.), and as a member a co-owner. LeX also built the network’s website and hub. There LeX sits on both sides of the table, which is why we name that work separately.

CRES. Guido van Dijk is President of CRES (opens in a new window), a European association based in Rome. LeX builds the CRES community platform and sits on both sides of the table there too. The overlap is set out under Community platform, built to measure. LeX does not use the CRES network to find assignments.

Capacity. Besides LeX, the director has two employments. So we choose deliberately which assignments we take on. What we accept falls under his final responsibility.
